Equity. Equality. Empowerment. There are any number of words to put at the forefront of a celebration of International Women’s Day, but the particular power of these three continued to resonate at Eclaro through our offices, phone calls, Zooms, you name it, as we spoke about the impact of IWD and its many messages—and not only on March 8.
As the official International Women’s Day website says, this is "a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.” March 8 may be the day on the calendar that gets highlighted each year, but celebrating and sharing the mission should be an everyday occurrence. Spread the word.
Or in this case, the words. And not just ours. We find great inspiration in the words of others who’ve found just the right way to articulate a concept, a feeling, an emotion. A great quote is a great thing to share—you’ve heard us say it before, and we’ll surely say it again.
And now, we will let others say it.
In honor of this eighth day of March, we were moved to share eight great quotations from a range of sources from a diverse breadth of backgrounds and experience. As a global company that sources outstanding talent for our clients, a company that seeks the most talented individuals to become our candidates and employees, we naturally looked for a collection of talented speakers and thinkers with insights that can offer inspiration today and every day for work life, personal life, any walk of life.
You’ll find them below. Advice, motivation, wisdom, wit—sometimes all wrapped up within the same few words—are here among the cultural trailblazers and business leaders, women of international impact and some who remain unknown, whose words we hope move and motivate you as much as they did us…
